Kavod (LGBTQ Adults & Allies)

Kavod ("Respect") is Congregation Beth El's group for LGBTQ adults and their allies.

In recent years, Conservative Judaism has worked to embrace queer Jews in all aspects of synagogue life, from LGBTQ-focused services to social groups for all ages. Kavod will work to guide Beth El in this exciting moment, providing a safe space for those of us in the queer community to spend time together and organize our efforts. Recent events included Zoom game nights, Zoom movie nights, and our in-person Lag B'Omer bonfire.

  • Lead new initiatives for queer inclusivity in our community.
  • Gather for social events and advocacy.
  • Help members of all genders and orientations feel comfortable.
  • Plan activities for queer congregants to have fun together!
