Habonim (Empty Nesters)

Habonim is made up of synagogue members who have already raised their children. These children are now grown, out of the house and raising families of their own.

Over 20 years ago, Rabbi Krupnick had a vision whereby members could still remain and feel connected to Beth El even though their children were grown. From this vision, Habonim was created and to this day still remains an active arm of our synagogue. We are inspired by our love of Beth El, and because of this, we work to provide a variety of exciting and interesting activities during the course of the year to meet the diverse interests of our members.

Habonim is made up of a group of spirited, vibrant, supportive, dedicated, energetic and committed members who help to make people feel comfortable, welcomed and engaged in our synagogue environment.

We hold movie screenings, holiday celebrations, cake decorating, BBQs, trips to places of interest and more! Most recently, we visited Jewish Harlem in New York City. All of our events are very well attended and positively received.

We recognize that it is sometimes difficult in a synagogue of our size to feel connected or to find a group that matches your interests. With this in mind, we hope you will consider joining us at our many events. We know you will also enjoy the wonderful benefits of developing long lasting friendships.

There are no dues to belong. Just come, enjoy, get involved and have fun. Become part of Habonim – you will be glad you did!
