Campus Tour

Beth El’s 11 acre campus in Voorhees, NJ includes an award winning Early Childhood Center and Religious School, Sanctuary and Chapel, Landau Peace Garden, Banquet Hall, Library and Learning Center, Youth Lounge, Beit Midrash and Gift Shop. Our synagogue building is 85,000 square feet fitted with beautiful imported Jerusalem stone and marble, creating a welcoming and inspiring space. Beth El is located in the Main Street development on Evesham and Kresson Roads in Voorhees NJ, and is 30 minutes from Philadelphia, two hours north of Baltimore, and 90 minutes from New York City.

Educational Facilities

Beth El’s Early Childhood Center (ECC) is the proud recipient of the coveted 2009 Solomon Schechter Gold Award for excellence in early childhood education. Beth El’s ECC offers a Pre-School, full day care, kindergarten, kindergarten enrichment, Hebrew emersion, and a series of programs for parents and their children called Baby Steps & Beyond. We are open from 7:00am – 6:00pm for infants through kindergarten age children.

Our award winning Beth El Religious School offers a warm and rich learning environment for 450 children in Grades K-10th. Our Family Education program, a recipient of the Gold Solomon Schechter Award in 2009, focuses on strengthening our families’ Judaic skills, knowledge and practice within the whole family. We take great pride in our nationally recognized Project Lev, a program for children with special needs.

Most of our post B’nai Mitzvah continue their Jewish education in our innovative and flexibly structured Hebrew High program every Tuesday and Thursday, taught by dedicated faculty including our clergy.

Beth El offers its children 25 classrooms, of which 16 contain private bathrooms for the children and faculty. Our classrooms are large and modern and our educational programming includes smart board technology.

Religious Facilities

The Sanctuary, which can be expanded to 1200 seat capacity, offers comfortable theater style seating, stained glass windows, cherry wood accents and an exceptional and uniquely designed ark.

Our beautiful and intimate domed chapel is surrounded by soft fabric panels, magnificent stained glass windows, warm wood accents and comfortable seating for 135.

Our Beit Midrash serves as a prayer space and a multi-purpose room. 

Banquet Facilities

Our exquisite Social Hall, measuring approximately 9600 square feet, offers seating for 450, a 1300 square foot dance floor, and a large beautifully landscaped courtyard with a paved patio for outdoor celebrations. Our courtyard includes the Landau Peace Garden featuring a walking labyrinth, a sitting and meditation area, a fountain, a holocaust monument and beautiful ornamental trees, which are placed around the outside of the garden area. This area is used for meditation, teaching and private reflection. For weddings, we have a spacious and beautifully appointed bride’s room with private bath and shower. 

Library

Our 1400 square foot Bell Library is complete with biblical texts, modern literature and children’s books. We also offer a lively short Story Discussion Group once a month.

Gift Shop

Our striking gift shop has magnificent crafts, jewelry, Judaica and more. 

Recreation

Our teens enjoy the use of a spacious and comfortable youth lounge with access to WiFi, games, and ping pong.
