Beth El Junior College (BEJC) is a two semester College Preparatory program for 11th and 12th graders at Congregation Beth El. Facilitated by our own Beth El faculty and topic-specific guest educators, the program consists of 12 regular sessions during the 2017-2018 academic calendar year, as well as special enrichment opportunities. Each Tuesday night session from 7:00-9:00pm includes an opening activity, a full dinner, enriching learning, and dessert.

The Beth El Junior College curriculum seeks to equip our students with the life skills and Jewish perspective to help them to choose a college, find greater success when they get there, and empower them in making important decisions about their Judaism and their future. Additionally, the curriculum focuses on cultivating a love and understanding of the State of Israel, sharing tools for Israel advocacy and activism locally and on campus, and developing the skills to articulate one’s personal expression of Zionism with passion, clarity, and nuance.

Thanks to generous donors, Beth El Junior College participants are invited to join Beth El clergy and community leaders for the annual AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington, DC, (March 4-6, 2018.) Each year, the AIPAC Policy Conference brings together over 18,000 Americans committed to a positive US/Israel relationship and is perhaps the most rewarding and meaningful Israel experience a person can have outside of Israel.
