Men’s Club

Men's Club provides an opportunity for the men of our congregation to connect.  We offer educational events, community service events and social events as ways to bring our members together. We support the shul through our actions and through financial contributions.  We are part of a larger Men's Club organization through the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs.

A Message From the President

Welcome to the new and improved Beth El website. Please let me know your thoughts on this new method of communicating.  I welcome you to visit this page regularly to find out what is going on in Men's Club and to find out how you can get involved.

March has been a busy month.  Over 70 people attended the breakfast with speaker Josh Halberstam.  Thank you to Bruce DuBoff, Craig Kessler, Gary Shapiro and the rest of the kitchen crew for another fine breakfast.

Beth El Men's Club won the JAG regional Men's Club bowling tournament and brought the trophy back home to Beth El where it belongs.  You can see a photo of our winning team at the top of the page.

The Paid Up Membership event was a success.  The Chinese buffet was excellent (thank you to Gary and Bruce for organizing the dinner) and the comedian Larry XL was as usual, hilarious.

If anyone is interested in becoming more involved in Men’s Club or has a good idea for programming, please get in touch with me and let me know. We can always use more volunteers and more ideas. We can grow our Club and support our synagogue but we need your help. Please join us.

The monthly board meeting is an open meeting so anyone is welcome to join us (the meetings typically last one hour)

Wednesday, June 19 – Torah on Tap, 8:30 PM, Dubh Linn
This event is a monthly event, led by Rabbi Arnow. Our final session of the year will be a BBQ at Marc Backal's house.  Come enjoy the BBQ, have a drink and engage in some good Torah conversation. Please RSVP to Aaron Greenberg agreenberg@jfedsnj.org

July - Men's Club Mid Summer Bar-B-Q - Date TBD
We will be having a Men's Club BBQ at Craig Kessler's house. Please come and join in the fun. Men's Club will be grilling up the burgers and dogs.  More info to come.
